  We stayed in Ki-ea apartments few months ago in a Studio and it wasn't that great for the price we paid, $160 a night. It was motel quality and desperately needs an upgrade. It probably was smoking studio once before as we could smell the cigarette smell. There was plates and cutlery under the TV cabinet and we didn't use them as it didn't look clean. So that's the negative side. The only good thing about the room was the queen size bed, which was quite comfortable.
  
  I am guessing the other apartment type rooms might be good.... looking from the pictures. However one big positive about the Ki-ea was the space you have for a gathering. If you have a family get away or if you are celebrating someone's mile stone like 30/50 birthday party with friends and family this place is amazing for it. It got a BBQ place in the roof top and a Jacuzzi so you can have extended family party, drinking wine and Beer and eating ribs and shrimps or a family BBQ near the pool while the kids play in the pool.
  
  Also it is not too far from the beach where the rocks are colored and the city centre is about 10-15mins walk. If anyone want an amazing Restaurant to celebrate an anniversary, Birthday, or simply go on a date you can go to The Stunned Mullet(It's fine dinning but amazing service from Hugh Jackman guy) which is 5-6mins walk.
  So the 3 star rating I gave is for the studio room we stayed, which management said it was their cheaper $160 a night room which I recommend to find somewhere else.

  The food was great. The beds were comfortable and the two bedroom room was the best and it was so cosy. the location is great
